Two seriously wounded Israelis have shown marked improvement, and one of the cases might even be termed a miraculous recovery. On Friday night, June 29, a Hizbullah mortar-and-missile attack wounded three Israeli soldiers, including Marcelo Shtechman of Ma\'aleh Ephraim. The Israel Air Force retaliated sharply, but Marcelo remained unconscious and in serious condition - until he suddenly woke up one morning last week in fine spirits. Marcelo\'s father Gabi Shtechman told Arutz-7 today, \"Thank G-d, he woke up one morning as if to a new life - talking, identifying everyone, eating, sitting up... Today he is walking around smiling, very anxious to go back to his army regiment... He is about 60-70% functional. He remembers what happened only up to 2.5 hours before the attack, and certainly not the attack itself. But he does remember that IDF Chief of Staff Mofaz visited him in the hospital, even though he was unconscious; when he woke up, he asked me, \'Was the Chief of Staff here, or did I dream it?\' I told him, \'No, you didn\'t dream it...\'\"

Avi (ben Aziza) Romano, a father of seven, was seriously wounded a week ago today when he was shot only 100 meters before reaching his Shomron community of Brachah. He was listed in serious condition for a short while, but is now conscious and listed as stable. Doctors fear that he may lose the use of one arm, which was hit by shrapnel. Bullet fragments were found all over his body.
