For the third time in two weeks, IDF soldiers have apprehended an Arab boy who was recruited by terrorist groups to carry out a suicide attack against Jews in Israel. Soldiers arrested 16-year-old Tamer Hawira in Rifidia, an Arab suburb of Shechem, located some 25 miles northeast of Tel Aviv. He was enlisted by the Islamic Jihad.



In a separate incident, a soldier was injured overnight when terrorists opened fire at an IDF position defending the town of Gadid in Gaza.



In other recent security-related incidents: In Aram, an Arab suburb north of Jerusalem, terrorists firebombed an Israeli vehicle. The car went up in flames, but no one was injured; similarly, terrorists firebombed and damaged an Egged bus this morning as it made its way along the Gush Etzion-Hevron road. There were no injuries reported.



IDF forces operating in Judea and Samaria during the night arrested eight Palestinian Authority residents suspected of terrorist activities. Arrests were made in Bethlehem, Dahaisha, Shechem and Hevron. Included among the suspects in custody are Hamas terrorists.
