During the evacuation of the large shipping container, used as living quarters in previous attempts to establish a Jewish presence in the area, some of the soldiers almost immediately fired warning shots in the air – in serious violation of standing army regulations for outpost evacuations. The army is investigating.

Urit Struck, of the Hevron Jewish Community Council, told Israel National News today, "More than 20 attempts have been made so far to populate the outpost, and Kiryat Arba youth will continue to go up there, even if they are evacuated, until a new neighborhood of Kiryat Arba is established in that place."
