Iranians in Southern Lebanon?

Small groups of elite Iranian soldiers are preparing for rocket attacks on Israel from southern Lebanon, according to a Sunday Times report of yesterday. The paper says that Israeli military intelligence has learned that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards (Pasdaran) rocket unit has trained long-range Fagr-5 rockets on cities in northern Israel. Confirmation of the Iranian advance came when a Pasdaran soldier defected to Israel last week. Israeli security sources later denied that there was evidence of an Iranian presence on Lebanon\'s southern border.
