Ever since word of the successful killing of Yassin became known, Palestinian terrorism has been on the increase. Seven mortar shells and anti-tank missiles had been fired at N'vei Dekalim and environs in Gush Katif by 8:30 this morning; two homes were hit, but no one was hurt... An Arab terrorist attacked with an axe several passersby on the corner of Rabbi Kook and Ben Gurion Streets in Ramat Gan late this morning; three people were wounded, including one woman in moderate-to-serious condition... A mortar shell was launched from northern Gaza and landed near an Israeli settlement in the Negev... Four Arabs attacked a Jewish youth on David St. in Jerusalem's Old City; he wasn't hurt seriously, thanks to police intervention, and the attackers were arrested... Several incidents of rock-throwing were registered; in Tekoa, east of Gush Etzion, a baby was hurt and is in light-to-moderate condition... A convoy near Netzarim was shot at, as were soldiers on the Israeli-Egyptian border; no one was hurt... IDF soldiers killed an armed terrorist in Shechem who fired at them, and hit two gunmen who opened fire near Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem... Arab inmates at the IDF Ketziot prison rioted upon hearing the news, and prison authorities quickly restored order. Half of the 2,000 security prisoners at Ketziot are Hamas terrorists, and 800 of them are defined as having "blood on their hands."



This afternoon: An IDF vehicle was damaged in an Arab rock-throwing attack near Migdalim in Samaria; no one was hurt, and the attackers were apprehended... A Kassam rocket was fired at one of the three Jewish towns in northern Gaza; it exploded just outside the fence... Arab mobs demonstrated outside Kfar Darom; IDF soldiers were on hand... Soldiers used rubber bullets to restore order in Hevron. IDF soldiers were unhurt, but eight rioting PA residents and two correspondents were injured - all reported in light condition... On the Temple Mount, Arabs threw rocks at police and Border Guard officers...
