The General Security Service has been pushing the government for a while now to open the Temple Mount to Jewish visitors. Ha\'aretz reports today that the GSS feels that the frustration among the groups wishing to visit the holy site is great, and that if an outlet is not found for it, it could explode into possible violence on their part. The arrest two days ago of ten Temple Mount activists who attempted to enter is only the tip of the iceberg, the GSS feels. The site has been closed to Jewish visitors since the beginning of the mini-war five months ago.
