The Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) continues to rise. Another centimeter of height - 1.7 million cubic meters of water - was added yesterday, a result of runoff from the winter's rains. The level of the country's main source of water is now within 22 centimeters (9 inches) of its maximum level. The Water Commission is not planning to rush to open the Deganiah Dam, however, unless the threat of flooding facing Tiberias and Ein Gev becomes imminent.

On the Golan's Mt. Hermon, 1.2 meters of snow has accumulated on the upper ridge and 0.9 meters on the lower ridge.
