A Jewish Humor Festival will take place this coming Wednesday and Thursday in the ZOA House in Tel Aviv, jointly sponsored by the Zionist Organization of American and the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality.

The festival will combine drama, stand-up routines, music and story-telling, all grounded in generations of Jewish humor. Special original productions will be presented, such as an evening of Moroccan-Jewish entertainment; a salute to veteran Israeli comedians; and "From Buenos Aires to Tel Aviv," combining Spanish and Hebrew songs. Noted journalist Meir Uziel will MC an event dedicated to the works of Shalom Aleichem, and Ethiopian actors and musicians will put on "Ethiopia Cabaret." A Yiddish comedian is also planned.
