A high-level terrorist alert in the southern Sharon area between Petach Tikvah and Raanana resulted in heavy traffic jams on many highways in central Israel. The alert began at around 8 AM, and was removed totally only five hours later. The alert was imposed in addition to the generally high level of police preparedness throughout the country as the holiday of Purim approaches. Thousands of police, soldiers and volunteers are deployed in crowded areas all over the country.



Several stores were damaged in Sderot this morning by a Kassam rocket attack. No one was hurt.



The condition of the four critically wounded victims of the recent #14 bus bombing - Amos Levy, whose life was the most seriously endangered, and three teenaged girls - has improved notably. All four of them are no longer being treated in the emergency wards. A Palestinian murderer detonated himself in the bus in Jerusalem almost two weeks ago, killing 8 people and wounding dozens of others.
