Pinchas Wallerstein, head of the Benjamin Regional Council north of Jerusalem, was questioned by police yesterday on suspicion of ordering the illegal transport of caravan homes to the community of Migron during recent months. Migron, home to 43 families, is one of the 'unauthorized outposts' that the Prime Minister has designated for destruction.

Speaking with Arutz-7 today, Wallerstein said, "It's nothing to get excited about; I've been questioned many times by the police on all sorts of charges [having to do with building up Yesha]. The incident occurred when they were about to take down Migron a number of months ago [which, in the end, they did not attempt - ed. note] - we moved a large container filled with chairs and tables, and the Civil Administration decided to treat it as if it were a mobile home, and fined the truckers very heavily, etc. They made a big deal about it, but the bottom line is that was simply a provocation against us. These containers are moved about on the roads of Yesha in the dozens, by both Jews and Arabs, and no one ever makes a big deal out of it. But that's the way it is, we'll have to overcome this nonsense as well."

Wallerstein confirmed that following the recent Supreme Court decision, "we have one chance left in court to stop the demolition of several 'unauthorized outposts.' We will file a request for yet another review of the case today or tomorrow, and if the Court turns us down, then it's true: the army will be able to begin the demolition."

He explained that two of the 'outposts' in question "are simply neighborhoods of the existing and long-standing community of Ofrah. Tal Binyamin, the site of the Mishp'tei Eretz Jewish Law Institute, stands where terrorists murdered Talia and Binyamin Kahane three years ago, on a spot overlooking the entrance to Ofrah. Ginot Aryeh is a neighborhood within Ofrah, named for Ofrah resident Aryeh Hershkovitz who was murdered in a terrorist shooting attack three months before his son Assaf was murdered in the same manner. This is all part of Sharon's very strong desire to show the Americans that he really is serious about dismantling Yesha... Let no one think that we should allow the Prime Minister to get away with his plan to take down the outposts. We will fight for each and every site. If we once thought that sacrificing an outpost would help save a community, let it be clear that there is no dialogue between us and the Prime Minister, and he is doing this only to prove to the Americans that he can take down all of Yesha - and this is what it will lead to."
