An Israel Air Force helicopter attack killed three Palestinian terrorists in Gaza this afternoon. The attack follows a rash of shooting incidents and other attempts by Arabs to murder Jews in Gaza - including mortars and bombings - in the past several days.

Eight hours of intense police work yesterday afternoon and evening led to the thwarting of a major terrorist attack in the Tel Aviv area. A gag order has been placed on the details of the operation, which included helicopters and quickly-erected checkpoints. Policemen flooded the streets, and citizens were even asked to report on suspicious characters. Traffic jams reached a length of several kilometers, and streets were abruptly closed and opened for no apparent reason. At 7 PM the alert reached its peak, and by 8 PM, the city was notified that the alert was off. Police officers did not supply details this morning, but their relief was apparent.

A soldier was lightly hurt in a rock-throwing attack in Gush Etzion, among other terror attacks in various Yesha areas yesterday and last night. An armed terrorist was shot dead by soldiers in a clash in PA-controlled Tul Karem. Security forces arrested five wanted terrorists, and are in possession of 45 intelligence warnings of attacks.
