Transportation Minister Avigdor Lieberman, head of the National Union party, responded to some of Wallerstein's points in an afternoon interview with Arutz-7. Lieberman said that he does not plan to resign from the government before the withdrawal plan is brought up for a vote in the Cabinet - and that he plans to work to make sure it fails such a vote. He further said that Prime Minister Sharon will not be able to claim that he "already promised the Americans," because such a promise has no validity if it has not been approved by the Israeli Cabinet.
