In honor of the upcoming minor holiday of Tu B'Shvat - a Jewish-legal New Year for trees - a special Torah class and meal will be held at Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem on Saturday night, Feb. 7 at 8 PM. A men's class will be delivered by Rabbi Elchanan Bin-Nun, head of Yeshivat Beit Orot, while Midreshet Rachel V'Chaya teacher Golda Warhaftig will give a lecture for women in English. The evening is sponsored by the Rachel's Children Reclamation Foundation, which has long promoted the Jewish People's connection with Rachel's Tomb. Evelyn Haies, President of the organization, notes that Egged bus #163 leaves Jerusalem's Central Bus Station for Rachel's Tomb every two hours throughout the day, at ten minutes after the hour beginning at 9:10 AM.

A busload of tree-planting Gush Katif supporters will depart from Rehovot for Gush Katif on Sunday morning in honor of Tu B'Shvat. For information, call (in Israel) 053-586072.
