The Sea of Galilee rose another 13 centimeters yesterday, bringing it within 1.15 meters of the optimum level of 208.9 meters below sea level. If and when it rises another 30 centimeters (1 ft.), the Deganiah Dam will be opened, so as to prevent flooding of Tiberias and Ein Gev. The current rainstorm has passed, but meteorologists predict another one, beginning late Friday.

In other weather news, the snowstorm on Mt. Hermon has passed, and the popular skiing site is now open to visitors.
