The IDF has confirmed reports that it killed three terrorists on their way to carry out an attack last night. A combat helicopter fired several missiles at a car traveling in the Jenin area, killing all three occupants. The lead terrorist among them, Muhmad Basrat, was imprisoned by Israel from 1993-1997 for terrorism-related crimes. Over the past several months, he was directly involved in many attacks, including bombings in Hadera and Netanya and a suicide attack at the Mechola Junction in the Jordan Valley. Military officials say that he was planning several suicide bombing attacks inside pre-1967 Israel.
