The heavy weekend rains in the north have helped raise the Kinneret to its highest level in almost five months. It now stands 210.39 meters below sea level, 33 centimeters (over 13 inches) higher than it was on Thursday. Over 56 million cubic meters of water were added to the Kinneret over the weekend. Less than 1.5 meters of water-level remain to be added before the optimal level is reached.
