Hundreds of Jews were permitted to pray at the site of Joseph's Tomb in Shechem last night. The Od Yosef Chai yeshiva, which was stationed at the holy site for some 20 years until the site was abandoned at the start of the Oslo War in late 2000, arranged for two buses to enter, under army protection. However, despite the fact that many passengers stood, there was still not enough supply to meet the demand, and some people were unable to enter for lack of room.

Following the prayers, the visitors began cleaning the site that has been vandalized and burnt several times by Arab rioters. Joseph's Tomb supporters report that arrangements are being made for four buses to enter on a semi-regular basis in the near future.
