The Knesset Law and Constitution Committee will hold a meeting on Sunday regarding the latest Military Order, # 1539. The order was specially written to allow the destruction of outposts in Yesha (Judea and Samaria) and the expulsion of their resident families, without having to undergo the normal legal process. Although it was criticized in a recent Supreme Court ruling, it is still operative, and residents of at least two threatened outposts are left with only a few days to appeal it.
Susie Dym, of the grassroots organization Cities of Israel, notes that a show of public displeasure with these orders, which are known as Tzav 1539, may be a factor in the Law Committee's decision on Sunday. Among the participating MKs will be Gideon Saar, Gilad Erdan , and Roni Bar-On , all of the Likud, and Avraham Ravitz (United Torah Judaism) .
