In the meanwhile, another evacuation/uprooting took place this afternoon. Police and military forces arrived at the Shaked Farm near Yitzhar this morning in order to raze the aluminum structure at the site. Yitzhar is located southwest of Shechem (Nablus).
Witnesses on the scene reported that violence was used to carry out the demolition. The arrival of supporters at the site with cameras to film the evacuation, in an attempt to prevent the use of violence against the residents, apparently was not effective.
The handful of residents at the site said that they did not receive a demolition order, as the law demands, and that therefore they were unable to appeal to the Supreme Court against the destruction. The army stated that since no one lives there, except for chickens, there was no one to whom to serve the orders.
