The Parole Board turned down Margalit Har-Shefi\'s request this afternoon to be released from prison for good behavior. She has served approximately half the nine-month sentence for her unprecedented conviction on charges of not preventing the assassination of Yitzchak Rabin. A Parole Board judge said today that he senses that she has not \"internalized her punishment.\" She will be allowed to make another request for parole after she has served about half the time that still remains, in about ten weeks. However, President Moshe Katzav said last month that he would make a final decision on her family\'s request for a pardon for her after the Prisons Service committee decides whether she is to be paroled.
