Three Israeli civilians and three Israeli soldiers were wounded by Palestinian shooting today. Shortly after noon, Arafat\'s armed forces shot at an Egged #161 bus traveling from Gush Etzion to Jerusalem near El-Hader. A teenaged girl from Alon Shvut and a Jerusalem woman were lightly injured by bullet and glass fragments. They were treated on the scene, then taken to a hospital; the other passengers were transferred to another bus.

Two hours later, in Hevron, 7-year-old David Strook, walking up the stairs to his home, suffered light wounds in his chest from sniper gunfire fragments from the Abu Sneineh hills. Israeli soldiers and Hevron residents then returned fire; three soldiers were hurt by the Arab fire, including one in moderate condition, and another Jewish woman of Hevron was also lightly wounded. A group of soldiers gathered outside the home of one of the residents, apparently intending to stop him from shooting at the Arabs, despite pleas from residents to take cover. Another Arab shooting spree soon began, injuring four soldiers, including two moderately. Ro\'i Cohen, injured when an Israeli officer burst into his home, was treated and is presently on his way to his wedding in Jerusalem.

Abu Sneineh overlooks the Jews\' Avraham Avinu neighborhood, and snipers on the hill have a clear shot at the residents down below. They placed ten-month-old Shalhevet Pass in their sights three months ago, and murdered her with a bullet through her head. For weeks afterwards, Arab snipers rained heavy barrages of fire down on the Jewish residents, prompting the placing of sand bags in many windows, a protest encampment, and a public call for the army to reconquer the hills. Suddenly, several weeks ago, the Arab shooting stopped, for no apparent reason. Hevron residents offered Arutz-7\'s Yosef Zalmanson several uncertain explanations: \"Our prayers,\" said one; \"The fear that the army actually would retake Abu Sneineh,\" said another; \"The genuinely heavy gunfire with which the IDF responded,\" said a third. In any event, a new chapter began today with the resumption of the firing today.

A terrorist attack was thwarted this afternoon near Migdalim, between the Jordan Valley and the Shomron. An IDF force saw three Arabs, at least one of whom was armed, leaving the village of Akrabeh, east of Tapuach. The soldiers fired at the armed terrorist and hit him, but the three managed to escape... A large rock was hurled at the car of a Kiryat Arba resident from the direction of the village of Biet Umar last night. The front windshield was smashed, lightly injuring a little girl in the car. This was the third attack of its kind in two weeks... A truck on its way across the Karni Checkpoint into northern Gaza this morning was found to be carrying several M-16 rifles and a handgun. The driver, a resident of eastern Jerusalem, was detained... Palestinians opened fire today at the industrial zone in N\'vei Dekalim, Gush Katif; no one was hurt, and IDF soldiers returned fire... Another apparent \"work accident\" befell Palestinian terrorists in nearby Khan Yunis today, when a tremendous explosion was heard. No reports of casualties have yet been received.

Once again, residents of the Hevron area blocked Arab traffic on the Hevron-Jerusalem highway near Halhoul this morning. They maintain that the permission newly granted to Arab cars to travel on the roads endangers their security.

Arabs of the Palestinian autonomous areas attempted to set fire to the Dolev Forest in western Binyamin yesterday. They set fires in several places, but Israeli firefighters were able to control the flames within a few hours before significant damage could be caused. In Wadi Joz in eastern Jerusalem, dozens of Arab cars had their tires punctured during the course of the night.

The General Security Service arrested over the past few days two more participants in last year\'s October lynching of two soldiers in Ramallah. One of the two Arabs is the most famous lyncher, Abdul Aziz Salha, who was photographed holding up his blood-soaked hands in triumph. He confessed during his interrogation that he choked one of the soldiers with his own hands. The other Arab admitted to having stabbed one of the victims.
