Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has arrived in New York, where he will meet with American Jewish leaders. Tomorrow, he will meet in Washington with U.S. President Bush, Secretary of State Powell, and National Security Advisor Rice. Following reports that the Americans will press for an abbreviated timetable for the implementation of the Mitchell Report recommendations, Sharon told reporters that he will not agree to a shorter ceasefire period, and will insist that the ceasefire be 100%.
