The Colombian kidnappers of seven hikers - four Israelis, and one each from Britain, Germany and Spain - are scheduled to release the latter two sometime today. The relatives of the four Israelis are encouraged by the development. One of them said, "This means that the beginning of the end is in sight." All seven hostages, who have been held in a remote jungle location for over two months, were recently seen on videotape, appearing to be in good health. The kidnappers have long demanded that the Colombian government investigate and improve the conditions of the local villagers - and in fact a humanitarian committee established for this purpose arrived in the region to begin work just a few days ago.
