"The left-wing in Israel endangers state security." -- Yitzchak Rabin, Apr. 9, 1991 (Ha'aretz)
"I will tell you a story. This confrontation erupted on September 2000. In February 2001, I was Chief of Staff... [On Feb. 11], Arafat convened all the heads of the Palestinian Security Organizations, and the heads of the Palestinian terror organizations - what I am saying now is undeniable; this is material that can today be exposed - and he asked them, why don't the Jews have more dead? And they answered what they answered, after which he told them, 'you know what to do' - these are his words... That is the day when he gave the green light to the suicide bombers to leave for the State of Israel." -- Defense Minister Sha'ul Mofaz, at the Davis Institute in Jerusalem, Oct. 23, 2003
On Feb. 14, 2001, eight Israelis, including four woman soldiers, were killed when an Arab busdriver from Gaza, 35 years old and father of 5, rammed his Egged bus into a crowded bus stop between Holon and Azor. Just 18 days later, the first of many Oslo War suicide terrorists tried to board a bus in Netanya, then detonated the bomb on the street, murdering three Israelis.
