Knesset Speaker Ruby Rivlin led a large group of Likud Knesset Members today on a visit to Hevron and Kiryat Arba. Rivlin said that the Geneva agreement is a "continuation of the Oslo Agreement that led the Israelis and Arabs towards a crash, and its results will be yet another erosion of the bonds linking the People of Israel and its Land."

The Prime Minister's Office announced this week that Sharon's plans to connect Hevron and Kiryat Arba would not be carried out. In fact, under the watchful eye of Israeli bodies such as the Civil Administration, the PA is building houses along Worshipers' Path - the road that connects Hevron and Kiryat Arba. The PA is also investing great resources to refurbish Arab houses near the Jewish neighborhoods in Hevron. Hevron Jewish Community sources say that the government is trying to "isolate and dry us out." The Likud MKs discussed with their hosts ways of solving this problem and constructing a contiguous Jewish presence between the two cities.
