Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr., Governor of the U.S. state of Maryland, during a visit to Israel this week, announced a new homeland security partnership between Maryland and Israel.



After meeting with Prime Minister Sharon, Foreign Minister Shalom, and other Israeli government representatives, Ehrlich announced the formation of the Maryland/Israel Partnership in Homeland Security, enabling professionals from both communities to explore and share the best practices they employ in responding to terrorism threats. Ehrlich was here for a four-day trade mission to Israel.
