MK Rabbi Chaim Druckman (National Religious Party) has asked Attorney-General Elyakim Rubenstein to begin criminal proceedings against Uri Avnery for his call yesterday in the Palestinian press to continue the intifada. Avnery, writing yesterday in the official PA organ Al Hayat al-Jadida, posited that the Palestinian violence had achieved impressive gains and that it must not be stopped. Rabbi Druckman notes that this is not the first case of explicit left-wing incitement against Yesha residents, and that legal steps must be taken to stop the phenomenon.
