The next chapter of the ongoing sage of the Yesha outposts, the dismantling of some of them, and the rebuilding of some of those that were dismantled, may continue as soon as next week. Defense Minister Sha'ul Mofaz, under pressure from the U.S. government as he prepares to visit Washington next week, is expected to decide today which outposts are to be targeted.



Peace Now reports that there are currently 120 outposts - unrecognized Jewish settlement sites in the hills of Judea and the Shomron, usually populated by fewer than ten people. Of the 20 or so that were dismantled this past June, ten have been rebuilt.
