The International Press Center (IPC), one of the Palestinian Authority's State Information Service (SIS) which provides news stories to much of the foreign press corps reporting from Judea, Samaria and Gaza has begun to refer to Arab suicide bombers as “resistance activists.”
Aaron Lerner, director of IMRA (Independent Media Review and Analysis) points out that the article is about the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades suicide bomber who blew himself up early Monday on his way to carry out an attack. “Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades is part of Yasser Arafat and Abu Ala's Fatah,” says Lerner, “It is important to note that since the PA considers suicide bombers ‘resistance activists’ rather than ‘terrorists,’ photo opportunities in which PA officials announce that they will fight terror are meaningless.”
The article, which appears on the Palestinian Authority’s Official Press Office’s web site is entitled: “Palestinian Resistance Activist Killed , Israeli Troops Wound Several
Civilians, Jewish Settlers Take over Lands.” It can be viewed at the following web address:
