Left-wing writer Uri Avnery calls for the Palestinians to continue their war against Israel. In an article in the official Palestinian Authority newspaper Al Hayat al-Jadida, Avnery wrote, \"The Palestinians have attained a great victory in the battle over the settlements… The conclusion is that you should not stop the intifada, but if you must [stop], then do so only for tactical reasons.\"
