Left-wing writer Uri Avnery has called for the Palestinians to continue their war against Israel. Writing in the official Palestinian Authority newspaper Al Hayat al-Jadida, Avnery concludes, \"The Palestinians have attained a great victory in the battle over the settlements… The conclusion is that you should not stop the intifada, but if you must, then only for tactical reasons.\"
