The top item in many news media in Israel today is - graffiti. Graffiti against the late Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin and in favor of Kach was discovered this morning in at least five places across the country, precisely as many Israelis prepare to commemorate the eighth anniversary of his assassination. The Rabin Memorial in Tel Aviv was defaced, and similar vandalism was recorded in Ramat Aviv, Herzliya, Bnei Brak and the Shaar HaGai interchange on the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway.

The story topped many of the newscasts on the public radio broadcasts today. President Moshe Katzav expressed "deep shock" at the graffiti, and Rabin's daughter Dalia Rabin-Pilosoph said that a public investigation must be launched and conclusions must be reached "before it is too late."
