Dale Carnegie Training, that organization that pitches relentless self-confidence and interpersonal success in its training seminars the world over, has pitched in to help Israeli terrorism victims. Along with the Kids-For-Kids Youth Organization for the Recovery of Young Victims of Terrorism, Dale Carnegie is offering a free self-esteem course for young victims of terrorism.
Family members and friends of terror victims, along with those lightly injured, comprise about 75% of the class, according to Rabbi Elimelech Lepon, director of therapeutic services for Kids-For-Kids. The remaining 25% are people suffering from Oslo War-related psychological stress and employees at the Kids-For-Kids organization. The project was the initiative of Rabbi Lepon and Dale Carnegie Israeli franchise owner Ron Bowman.
Participants in the course, held in English, meet at the Orthodox Union’s Israel Center in Jerusalem, which donates the use of the space. As of last week, there were 44 participants, aged 14 to 24. The instructors, Ron and Graham Bowman, donate their time. Under other circumstances, the course costs NIS 3,500.
