Municipal elections in most of Israel's cities, local councils and regional councils will be held this Tuesday. The Likud is already preparing for several major losses, including in Dimona, Eilat, and Rosh Ha'Ayin, and is not expected to wrest a single city from Labor Party control. Infighting and Finance Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's economic plan are apparently to blame. The National Religious Party is fielding mayoral candidates in five localities: Tzfat, Givat Shmuel, Kfar Saba, Tirat HaCarmel, and Ganei Tikvah.
