The Prison Service Parole Board convened today to consider granting parole to Margalit Har-Shefi - but decided not to decide. The next session has been postponed for an unannounced date in the future. Har-Shefi began a nine-month prison term in March for not preventing the assassination of Yitzchak Rabin; she also was imprisoned for about three weeks at the beginning of the investigation, over five years ago. If parole had been granted, the young law student would likely have been released this coming Sunday. She, like Aryeh Deri, happens to be one of the few prisoners who are eligible for parole after serving half their term. Prison officials have described her as being a model prisoner.
