The Knesset Committee rejected a request by MK Uri Ariel (National Union) to take disciplinary action against the Knesset Members involved in formulating the Geneva agreement with Yasser Abed Rabbo of the Palestinian Authority. MK Ariel still plans to turn to the Knesset Ethics Committee with a similar request.
The Geneva agreement, which has no legal standing, stipulates that Israel is to give over most of eastern Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount, as well as almost all of Judea, Samaria and Gaza. The agreement also states that Israel is to expel 100,000 Jewish Yesha residents from their homes.
