Israeli authorities today (Thursday) issued orders for the deportation of three more Palestinian Authority terrorists being held in administrative detention. The move brings the total number of terrorists awaiting deportation to Gaza to 18. The terrorists are being held in an Erez holding facility in northern Gaza; they are permitted 48 hours to file an appeal.
However, in light of a restraining order issued last night by the Supreme Court, the other 15 deportations are being temporarily delayed. In their appeals, the 15 security prisoners maintain that the deportation would be a violation of their basic rights, as well as international law. The state has been ordered to respond to the claims of the terrorist appellants by Sunday.
