A home in the Jewish Gaza community of Kfar Darom, just north of the Gush Katif bloc, sustained a direct hit from a Palestinian-fired mortar shell late this afternoon. The roof was damaged only slightly, as the shell did not explode, and no one was hurt. Yesterday morning, too, a shell hit a tree in the town, and again no one was hurt. Asher Mivtzari, spokesman for Kfar Darom, told Arutz-7's Yosef Meiri,
"We are just now on the way to Netzer Hazani, in Gush Katif, for our annual local Sukkot celebration. Just two days ago, one of many shells fired in their direction hit a home there and caused great damage, but miraculously hurt no one. We will not let the terrorists put a stop to our holiday joy."
Among other attacks in Gaza this morning, Arabs threw three grenades at an IDF force on the Israeli-Egyptian border near Rafiach; no one was hurt.
