It's been a day of Kassam and other rockets against Jewish targets in the Negev and Gush Katif, though no one has been hurt. Palestinian terrorists in Gaza fired some ten Kassam rockets towards a Negev kibbutz in the Sderot area this morning, one of which landed atop an empty school-bus stop; damage was caused to the surrounding area. Two more Hamas-fired missiles hit a community in the western Negev, two mortar shells landed near the southern Gush Katif community of Nvei Dekalim last night, and Arabs fired three mortar shells at the greenhouses of Rafiach Yam early this afternoon.

At least one terrorist was killed last night when soldiers in southern Gush Katif detected three Arabs attempting to place a large bomb near the Morag community hothouses. After the Israeli forces opened fire last night, the body of one of the terrorists was found this morning, with three bombs alongside it.

Soldiers in the terrorist-infested Balata neighborhood of Shechem were targeted three times last night, including two bombing attacks and a shooting attack. There were no injuries.

Two Arabs were shot and lightly wounded this morning when they attempted to evade a Border Guard checkpoint near Kfar Menachem, between Beit Shemesh and Kiryat Malachi.
