Hundreds of youngsters came to the Maaleh HaGiborim civilian outpost between Kiryat Arba and Hevron last night and succeeded in stopping yet another attempt by army forces to dismantle the outpost. The outpost was first established almost a year ago, after 12 soldiers and civilians were killed in an Arab ambush attack along Worshippers' Path.

Aryeh Davis, one of those who helped stop the dismantling last night, told Arutz-7, "We carried out Operation Sukkah, where we built a large Sukkah around the outpost, but the police and the army didn't like it - they don't like us to do anything to strengthen our hold here..." He explained that one of the objectives of the planned residential community is to adhere to Prime Minister Sharon's words: "After last year's attack, Sharon visited here and said that what was needed was Jewish territorial contiguity between Kiryat Arba and Hevron, and that's what we're doing."
