Doron Zisserman, 38, of Einav, was very critically wounded in the neck in a shooting attack at about 7:30pm on Monday night in the Shomron, near his home community. Einav is located in proximity to the PA autonomous area of Tul Karem. Following the attack, the IDF decided to once again place a closure on the PA area. The closure was removed only hours ago, permitting the terrorists to perpetrate the fatal attack.
Zisserman died of his wounds a short time after being wounded. Emergency medical service personnel pronounced him dead on the scene after resuscitation efforts failed.
Earlier, an Israeli sustained light-to-moderate wounds in a shooting attack near the Shomron community of Ateret, west of the PA area of Ramallah.
In an afternoon shooting attack in the Shomron, 35-year-old Danny Yehuda, a resident of Chomesh, was killed near his home in another shooting attack.16-year-old Alex Briskin sustained light-to-moderate shrapnel injuries in that attack.
The latest victim of Arab terror was hit by gunfire from a passing car according to the preliminary investigation. Doron managed to continue to the sentry post of Einav where he collapsed. An air force chopper was summoned to transport the mortally wounded victim to a trauma center but the efforts were in vain. Doron was pronounced dead on the scene shortly after 8:00pm. The Fatah terrorist organization claimed responsibility for that attack.
Doron became the third victim of a shooting attack in Yesha today in which persons were wounded and/or killed.
A short time ago, Danny Yehuda, 35, the father of three, was laid to rest in the Bnei Ayish Cemetery near Ashdod. As the funeral procession passed the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem, Danny’s widow delivered a moving eulogy, asking, “How long must we continue asking that you protect us. Why must I now be left with three children? We are being killed like flies. We are flies!”
Doron Zisserman, left a wife and four children. Funeral arrangement to be announced.
