A Golani Brigade unit of the IDF apprehended the Islamic Jihad commander of Jenin last night. A total of 31 arrests were made during the night, netting a total of 25 Hamas terrorists.

A closure will be imposed on Arab residents of Yesha (Judea, Samaria and Gaza) over the two-day Rosh HaShanah holiday, which begins tonight. Except for humanitarian cases, they will be prohibited from entering into pre-1967 (Green Line) Israel. Police and other security forces are deployed in large numbers throughout the country for the holiday.
