One of the largest explosive packages ever put together by Palestinians in the nine months of warfare exploded today alongside an IDF personnel carrier near the Dahaniye Airport in Gaza, yet caused no Israeli injuries. The bomb, placed inside a donkey cart, included four gas canisters, two 7-kg. mines, a bag of screws for a shrapnel effect, a can of diesel oil, and a can of glue (which can cause severe burns at high temperature). The Arab terrorist driver attempted to run away after detonating it, but sustained serious injuries in the blast; he was treated by an IDF medical team. It appears that only one of the canisters exploded.

A barrage of close to 50 grenades was hurled early this morning at an IDF outpost on the Israeli-Egyptian border. Palestinians also opened massive fire upon the target at the same time. Miraculously, no one was hurt, and IDF soldiers returned fire. Today\'s onslaught followed a four-grenade attack yesterday, which itself was followed by shooting at the outpost and at nearby Ganei Tal; soldiers returned fire. Further north, at the northern entrance to Ramallah, Arabs perpetrated a ceasefire shooting attack at IDF soldiers yesterday.

A sophisticated Palestinian attack was launched against an IDF jeep around noon today: A roadside bomb was detonated as the jeep descended Mt. Eval near Shechem, followed by gunfire at the soldiers. Two soldiers were wounded, one lightly and one from shock; they were taken to Tel HaShomer Hospital.
