A neo-Nazi plot to attack the new synagogue in Munich has been thwarted. Local police found weapons and explosives in the group's possession, which the anti-Semites planned to use in an attack upon the synagogue during its dedication ceremony. The ceremony is planned for Nov. 9 - the 65th anniversary of Crystallnacht, the night of broken windows, fire and looting in which thousands of synagogues and Jewish businesses throughout Germany and Austria were destroyed.
