The investigation into the unsolved attacks against Arabs of the past few years continues apace. In addition to four Bat Ayin residents who have been imprisoned for over a year, Yitzchak Pass and Mati Shvo who were arrested a month ago, and three youths from the Hevron area who were taken into custody a few days ago, Jerusalem Magistrates Court extended the custody of Shachar Dvir this morning for another six days. Dvir was arrested two weeks ago, and has still not been allowed to meet with his lawyers. Dvir's arrest is the subject of a gag order.
Yitzchak Pass, father of baby Shalhevet who was murdered with a bullet to her head in Hevron two years ago, was indicted last week on the anti-climactic charges of possession of dynamite. The Shabak had strongly intimated beforehand that he and his brother-in-law Mati Shvo had conspired to commit major attacks against Arabs.
MK Uri Ariel (National Union), speaking with Arutz-7 today, said that the pace of the investigation should be accelerated. "I am sure that there is no underground amidst the Jews of Yesha," he said, but asked whoever knows anything about attacks against Arabs to inform the police.
