The northern front flared up this morning. Hizbullah terrorists shelled IDF outposts in Some shells also landed in the Israeli section of Mt. Hermon - the mountain's highest points (almost 2,900 meters high) - and Rosh HaNikra in the west was hit as well.

The IDF responded with artillery and combat helicopter fire towards Hizbullah positions on the eastern sector of the Israel-Lebanon border. Hizbullah claims that its attack this morning was in response to a bombing that killed a Hizbullah terrorist in Beirut last week. Israeli intelligence had received warnings of possible vengeance attacks earlier this week.
