What was originally reported as a possible shooting attack turned out to be a car accident instead. Outside the entrance to Har Brachah in the Shomron, a car overturned, briefly trapping a passenger - a member of the Samaritan community - inside. The Samaritans number several hundred, dating back from the time of the First Temple. They built their own temple on Mt. Gerizim near Shechem, where they bring animal sacrifices, and claim that their altered version of the Torah is the true Pentateuch.

Earlier this afternoon, an IDF jeep was hit by a Palestinian-hurled firebomb in the northern Shomron. No one was hurt, and IDF soldiers pursued the attackers.
