"At heart, I'm an Israeli." So said U.S. Representative and House Majority Leader Tom DeLay in a speech to a group of Knesset Members today. In the speech entitled "Have No Fear," DeLay said that "fake security is not security, and murderers who take 90-day vacations are still murderers." To the applause of the large crowd of Israeli lawmakers, DeLay said that there could be no appeasement of terrorism. "Israel's fight is our fight - and so shall it be until the last terrorist on Earth is in a cell or a cemetery," he said. He called the present hudna truce "paper-thin." Regarding Jonathan Pollard, DeLay was not as friendly. "Pollard is a spy, and he must sit in jail," he said.
