Thirteen life sentences were handed down against Ahmed Barghouti in the Ofer Military Court this morning, for his part in the terrorist murder of 12 Israelis and the wounding of dozens of others. Barghouti, nephew of imprisoned Fatah chief Marwan Barghouti, is responsible for dispatching the suicide terrorists to the Seafood Market Restaurant in Tel Aviv, as well as for murderous attacks on Jaffa St. in Jerusalem and in N'vei Yaakov. Arutz-7's Effie Meir reports that the judge said it would have been appropriate to give Barghouti an "eye for an eye" sentence - namely, the death penalty. Barghouti said this morning that he does not regret his actions.
