On behalf of the Victims of Arab Terror and 61 other individuals, including terrorist victims and their relatives, Atty. Baruch Ben-Yosef filed a petition in the Supreme Court against today's Cabinet decision to release over 100 Hamas and Islamic Jihad prisoners. The suit is based on two points: the PA refuses to disarm the terrorist organizations, and the lack of clear guidelines ensuring that the terrorists to be freed will not return to their previous activities.
Among the 61 petitioners are Brigitte Kessler, whose 19-year-old daughter Gila Sarah Kessler was murdered in the French Hill bus bombing 13 months ago; and Menashe Chemo, who was wounded in three different terror attacks, including most recently the #14 bus bombing in Jerusalem seven weeks ago. VAT founder Shifra Hoffman said, "It's no picnic to have to go to court every other day to ask our government not to release murderers. The government has gone back on all its promises in this regard, and we have no choice but to push on with this legal struggle - on behalf of the entire nation."
